Armin Otto Leuschner

Armin Otto Leuschner (January 16 1868April 22 1953) was an American astronomer.

Leuschner was born in the US, but raised in Germany. He returned to the US for university studies, and although he earned his Ph.D. in Berlin, he made his career in the US.

Leuschner was an educator of other astronomers, and also calculated the orbits of asteroids and comets.

He won the James Craig Watson Medal in 1916 and the Bruce Medal in 1936.

The Leuschner Observatory is named after him, and so is the asteroid 1361 Leuschneria .
