Atomic Testing Museum

The Atomic Testing Museum museum open in March of 2005 and is located in downtown Las Vegas. The museum documents the history of atomic bomb testing at the Nevada Test Site, formally known as the Nevada Proving Ground, about 45 miles from Las Vegas.

The museum covers the period from the first test on January 27, 1951 to the present.
