Barneveld

Barneveld is a town and municipality in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The population is 50,021 (2004), the town itself has a population of 27,875.

Barneveld has become famous in the Netherlands for poultry farming and egg production. A common breed of chicken used in poultry farming in the Netherlands is called the Barnevelder chicken.

Barneveld, De Glind, Garderen, Kootwijk, Kootwijkerbroek, Stroe, Terschuur, Voorthuizen and Zwartebroek.
