The Brugada syndrome can cause sudden unexpected cardiac death in apparently healthy individuals. The sudden death is caused by severe disturbances of the rhythm of the heart. This disease is known as Brugada syndrome and is hereditary.
In the Brugada syndrome, changes may be found in the resting Electrocardiogram with evidence of RBBB and ST elevation in the V1-V3 chest leads with an underlying propensity to sudden cardiac death
