He whom God shall make manifest is a messianic figure predicted by the Báb within his book the Bayan that would come after him and lead the Bayanis.
Bahá'u'lláh's claim
Many Bayanis believed that he was manifest in Bahá'u'lláh and became Bahá'ís, but this was contested by others remained loyal to their leader Subh-i Azal.
Dayyan's claim
Mirza Asadullah-i-Khuy often named Dayyan was one of the first to claim this position however he was assassinated before he could attract many followers. Later in their lives, both Subh-i Azal and Bahá'u'lláh, then leaders of the Bayanis point blame at each other for ordering the killing.
