Photovoltaics

Photovoltaics is the name given to the field of electrical engineering and/or semiconductor physics which is concerned with the development of and research into solar cells. There are many research institutions and departments at universities around the world who are active in the field of photovoltaics.

Countries which are particularly active in the field of photovoltaics are Germany, Japan, Australia, and the USA.
