As of 2005, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati covers the City of Cincinnati as well as Dayton and other cities in the southwest region of Ohio. In total there are 19 counties and 224 parishes.
The city of Cincinnati became the see of the diocese of Ohio which later became the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
