Skye and Lochalsh was formerly (1975-96) a local government district in the Highland Region of Scotland, comprising the islands of Skye and Raasay, and the mainland area heading inland from Kyle of Lochalsh. The council had its base in Portree in Skye. In 1996 it was included in the Highland unitary area.
