Triple Alliance

There have been numerous alliances known as the Triple Alliance:

• Aztec Triple Alliance - Mexico, Acolhuacan and Tecpanecapan . Better known as the Aztec Empire.
• Triple Alliance (1668) - England, the United Provinces and Sweden
• Triple Alliance (1717) - Great Britain, the United Provinces and France
• Triple Alliance (1788) - Great Britain, the United Provinces and Prussia
• Triple Alliance (1865) - Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina
• Triple Alliance (1882) - Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. In Harry Turtledove's Timeline-191 series, this is known as the Quadruple Alliance with the inclusion of the United States of America.
