Uncollapsing theorem

The uncollapsing theorem proposes that the possibility exists that a person in a deep meditative state can cause matter to assume a quantum superposition of states. Referring to such a phenomenom, one would say that a quantum wavefunction had become "uncollapsed".

This theory makes a specific prediction and so its proponents assert that it should be considered as protoscience rather than pseudoscience. This article is included to provide an insight into highly speculative physical thinking on the problem of consciousness, it is an extension of the philosophy of consciousness and should be read as ideas or speculation, not facts.

This uncollapsing theorem theorem posits that a person who achieves a brain wave frequency of about 3.5 Hz while awake (delta wave state), is potentially capable of uncollapsing a quantum wavefunction. People experiencing such an altered state of consciousness, report a sense of unity with the world. It is believed that a person in such a state can develop the ability to direct matter-energy into a higher state of quantum potential.

Some Buddhists describe two states of consciousness, the small mind and the big mind. The small mind is that of the ego; big mind is that which is open up to the infinite. It is conjectured that the collapse of quantum mechanical wavefunction that leads to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle happens when the observer is in the small mind. It is conjectured that the uncollapse of the wavefunction happens when the observer is in the big mind. The big mind may be facilitated by achieving a delta brainwave state.

There have been studies where people are able to influence experiments with the mind. The Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab is one such group conducting such experiments. The experimental subjects who are able to influence the experiments may be in the delta brainwave state.

This theorem is testable in the Popperian sense. One could conduct an experiment to see whether a person in a 3.5 Hz brainwave state can change the quantum state of an experimental apparatus into a quantum superposition.
